Blog Basics

Here are a few technical tips to becoming a regular contributor to the blog.

Step 1:
Accept invitation to join blog.
Just open your school e-mail, find the message from Blogger, and click on the link to accept the invitation.
You'll need to create an account with Google if you don't already have one.

Step 2: When you accept the invitation, you're taken to your "Dashboard," a list of all the blogs of which you are a member. You can just click on to the Baler PLC, or you can add information to your profile, or even create your own blogs, if you want!

Step 3:  If you want to comment on someone else's post, just click on the "comment" link under the post. It might say "0 comments," "1 Comment," etc.

Step 4: Next, just enter your comments and click "Publish." You can ask to be notified by e-mail if any additional comments are made related to this post.

Step 5: Reading other people's comments.
Click on the "comments" link underneath a post. In the left column is a chronological list of all the comments made about that post.

Step 6: Creating a NEW post:

At the upper right corner of the main page, click on "New Post."

Step 7: Title your post and write it. You can use the editing tools to change fonts, add tables or pictures, and more. You can embed videos from sites like YouTube and TeacherTube, too.

Step 8: Adding Labels: Labels will help keep content organized as the blog grows. If you're searching for conversations about "Academic Vocubulary," for example, you'll be able to click on this subject under the Labels index in the right column of the main page, and all the posts identified with that label with come up.

Step 9: Click "Publish Post." That's it! You're a blog contributor!
